Sea and sand
High sand dunes shield the inland Khor al Adaid sea from the inhabited world. Who dares ties the skis underneath and surfs down the sand. Nodding knees are not necessary. The loose sand guarantees a soft landing. Also with a 4WD you can brave these dunes. Style up and perpendicularly down. And at the very moment when the world seems to consist of nothing but sand, there is the sea.
Deep in the desert, hidden behind meter-high sand dunes. The saltwater of the gulf has penetrated far into the desert. The surreal combination of water and desert makes the rough journey here well worth it. For there is no road that leads to the waterfront of inland Khor al Adaid. And certainly not a busy boulevard.
