TORONTO AND THE GREAT LAKES
The modern city of Toronto has absolutely everything: culture and fashion, a vibrant nightlife, trendy shopping malls and chic restaurants, golf courses and friendly neighborhoods. From the CN tower you can see the whole city, what a phenomenal view! All around you look down on skyscrapers, with green spaces in between and in the distance the end of the city. On the south side is the port, which provides access to Lake Ontario.
THE GREAT LAKES
The border with the United States runs right through four of the five Great Lakes, the Great Lakes. Together they form the largest freshwater mass in the world, so large that the lake area is visible from space. Along the banks are unblemished nature reserves and resorts. Here you will feel like you are by the sea, with beautiful sandy beaches, the light wave of the water, piers and bays, umbrellas and beach houses. There are even small tidal differences. Only when you take a dip in the clear water it is noticeable that the salty taste is missing.
NIAGARA FALLS
South of Lake Ontario are niagara waterfalls. From the air or from the water, the waterfalls are always impressive. On a boat you can hear the thunderous violence of crashing water, you feel the powerful air displacement. Do put on rain gear, because the gusts of mist reach far!
