Early fall in the high Canadian Arctic is a unique time when polar bears await the return of winter ice and musk oxen compete in groups for the right to mate. Migratory animals like Narwhal travel along the coastal areas of Somerset Island, heading for a unique concentration of Arctic salmon trout to feed for the winter. Explore from base camp Arctic Watch Wilderness Lodge, located 800 kilometers above the Arctic Circle, the tundra of Somerset Island and the Northwest Passage. Equipped with your camera, you will be led by a team of experts in search of Polar Bear, Musk Ox and Narwhal, among others, for extensive observation and photography.
