Paradise archipelago
Fiji is a paradise archipelago of 333 islands in the heart of the South Pacific. The largely uninhabited islands are mountainous, rainforest-lined and framed by virgin sandy beaches that overflow underwater into the most magical coral reefs.
Main island of Viti Levi
On main island Viti Levu, explore the capital Suva, where colonial architecture, colorful markets and a sleepy harbor vie for attention. Go to the beautiful Coral Coast, where you can swim from the powder-white beaches straight into the shallow coral gardens and snorkel among a kaleidoscopic collection of reef fish. Beqa Island, an outlier of Vita Levu, is known for its stunning lagoon. Here you can dive with sharks, rays, sea turtles and numerous colorful fish such as the "Blue ribbon" eel, leopard triggerfish, lionfish, leaffish, sea bass and fusilier.
Hop in the car to get to know the green interior as well. Drive past fragrant herb gardens, swim at dazling waterfalls and hike in the highlands past villages where locals welcome you to into their daily lives.
Mamanuca and Yasawa
Denarau Marina on Viti Levi is the gateway to the popular island groups of Mamanuca and Yasawa. Mamanuca is an archipelago with something for everyone where the snorkeling is spectacular. If you like peace and quiet, let the wind take you to the islands of Yasawa. Sail to tiny uninhabited Tivua and enjoy island life or board a coral cat for an exploration of pristine marine life on the west coast.
Vanua Levu
Fiji's second largest island, "Big Island," is Vanua Levu. Barely discovered by travelers, it is one of the best-kept secrets of the tropics. You'll find sugarcane and copra plantations, hideaway villages, mountain passes streaming with waterfalls, endless swaths of forest and an ever-changing coastline. In the largest city of Labasa, the market and the Hindu Naag Mandir Temple are the biggest attractions. Surrounded by hot springs, Savusavu, tucked away in a deep bay, beckons to the south. The small port town is the perfect base for diving in the barrier reef that stretches off the south coast.
Taveuni
This barrier reef lies between Vanua Levu and Taveunie, one of Fiji's most beautiful islands. Inland, you will swim among dense vegetation at fairytale waterfalls, off the coast is Rainbow Reef, one of the most famous dive sites in the world.
